He is a certified Stop the Bleed and CPR/AED instructor through the American Heart Association, He is a full-time career FF/NREMT with Cleveland Cliffs Plate (Formerly Lukens Steel) in Coatesville, PA, part time with Downingtown Fire Department; Minquas EMS, and part time with the Royersford Fire Dept in Montgomery County. Each year, more than 350,000 EMS-assessed out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the United States. According to the American Heart Association, 90 percent of people who suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrests die.
When a person has a cardiac arrest, their survival depends on immediately receiving CPR from someone nearby. CPR, especially if performed immediately, can double, or triple a cardiac arrest victim’s chance of survival.
In his years of service, He has seen too often people will not start CPR on someone, either because they are scared or because they do not know how. Every minute that CPR is withheld decreases chances of survival by 10%.
Because he has seen a family’s hurt when a loved one is lost due to the lack of receiving such care, He decided to help as many people as possible to understand and learn how easy it really is to apply this life-saving technique.
Please join him on October 5th at 8am for this hands-on educational and awareness class to learn or refresh your skills, Because if one day, if you are called to save a life, you will be ready.
