Below is the equipment you will need for the course by April 24th…………
Equipment requirements and limitations
1. Rifle is of modern manufacture, and is designed for long range target shooting or tactical shooting. An off-the-shelf lightweight hunting rifle is not suitable for this course.
2. Non-magnum short or long action caliber when zeroing less than 300 yards. Highly recommend 6.5 Creedmoor or similar. (If use magnum calibers, or 3000fps velocity bullet/ammo, Please let me know)
3. You must use a good quality scope. (Vortex, Nightforce, Leupold, US Optics, Schmidt & Bender, Steiner, Zeiss, IOR, etc.). If your scope is not listed here it is highly likely that it will either fail internally during the course, will have a reticle that is far from accurate, and will likely not be able to provide repeatable adjustments.
4. Factory match ammo only. Bullet velocity is appropriate for long range target shooting. If you load your own ammo, please let me know.
5. Equipment failure: Students accept that any failure or limitation revealed during the course regarding equipment (ammunition, rifle, gear, and especially discount grade optics) is their issue alone to remedy.
6. All the shooting is done from one place, so there is no physical fitness or mobility element to this course. As long as you can shoot prone, you are good to go. (Please contact me if you have issue with shooting prone position)
7. If you do not have the rifle yet, you can attend the first session.....then decide what to get later, or I can help you to "rent" a rifle that suits this purpose. We have enough time before we head out to the 1000 yards range.
8. Recommend minimum 120 rounds of ammo on session 4 of this course
9. follow the link to purchase1. Mildot Master 2. Data Book to use in course session 2.
Four days course fee unchanged as 2021, $450 ( including session 4 range fee)
