NRA INSTRUCTOR RIFLE

This is the NRA Instructor Rifle Shooting Course.  It's a 2-day course, you also need to shoot the pre-qualification test and take the BIT course if you haven't taken it in the last 24 months.

Bring your own firearm and ammo

Prerequisite:  NRA Basic Rifle Course

DAY 1 - 10/23/21, SATURDAY, 0900 - 1700

Includes Pre-course qualification test for Sunday's Instructor course and BIT.

Basic Instructor Training (BIT) is a separate course that includes 6 hours of classroom time to learn how to conduct NRA courses. If you already took BIT within the last 24 month, you can skip it.  But you still need to shoot the qualification test before taking the Sunday class.

Class Length:

• Qualification test: 0900-1200 (report to classroom at 0900, 50 yard range 1000-1200)
• BIT: 1200-1700

Items Needed:

• Rifle
• Ammo (200 round+)
• Eye protection (with Safety ratings, prescription/sunglasses not accepted)
• Ear protection (electronic type recommended - so you can hear instructor's commands easily)

Lunch provided (pizza).  Please bring $5.

NOTE:  NO AMMO IN CLASSROOM!  LEAVE THEM IN YOUR CAR.  ALL FIREARMS SHOULD BE CASED.

DAY 2 - 10/24/21, SUNDAY, 0800 - 1700

Instructor Rifle Course

Class Length:

• Classroom in the morning
• Live shooting on the range in the afternoon
• Pass both written test and shooting pre-qualification (Saturday)
• Total length approx. 10 hours.

Items Needed:

• Rifle
• Ammo (200 round+)
• Eye protection (with Safety ratings, prescription/sunglasses not accepted)
• Ear protection (electronic type recommended - so you can hear instructor's commands easily)

Lunch provided (pizza).  Please bring $5.
