The objective of this comprehensive safety course is to provide the student with the knowledge required to safely own, carry, and shoot a firearm.
There will be a review of marksmanship fundamentals, holster draws, and time to practice. However, this qualification requires that the individual is already comfortable handling their firearm, to include reloading and working from a holster.

The qualification consists of 50 rounds fired at an FBI-Q target at distances ranging from three yards to 15 yards. Minimum passing score is 80% (40 of the 50 rounds must hit). There is no time limit for completing the course.
