Club Members are reminded that Field Day is this Saturday October 4th from 10 am to 4 pm. The weather appears to suggest that there may be rain overnight Friday with the rain ending early Saturday morning followed by clearing and a partly sunny rest of the day. Field Day events will occur rain or shine and will include a charity trap shoot for the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). You know – an event supporting our nation’s military who selflessly protect our freedoms while we sit in warm secure homes, regardless of the weather conditions? Will club members reciprocate and show their support for injured military members and this worthy cause? We are confident that this will be the case. Shotguns should be brought cased to this event. Club shotguns will be provided for shooting as well.
Events will include this trap shoot with a $10 donation per 25 clay bird round benefiting WWP, Orvis Fly Fishing education and demonstration, bullet reloading demonstration and education, historic Gatling Gun demonstration, youth 22 LR and steel target shoot, black powder shooting demonstration, distance shooting event with prizes, food and refreshments, membership renewal, and member badge provision.
All ranges will be closed to regular member shooting. Members are encouraged to bring ear and eye protection for shooting events. Please come and enjoy this annual club event.
